Every April, Milan transforms into the epicentre of global design, and this year’s Milan Design Week 2025 – including the renowned Salone del Mobile – was nothing short of extraordinary. We were lucky enough to experience it first-hand, exploring everything from large-scale installations and sculptural furniture to show-stopping lighting innovations and capsule pop-ups across the city. The energy was unmatched, and the creativity on display will be inspiring our work for months to come.

Inside the Iconic Salone del Mobile
Held at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre, the Salone del Mobile is the beating heart of Milan Design Week – the world’s largest and most prestigious furniture fair. The exhibition halls were filled with innovation, heritage, and boundary-pushing aesthetics. We were thrilled to discover some of the most exciting brands in contemporary interior design. Here some of our faves that stood out:
Edra
Based in Tuscany, Edra continues to redefine luxury seating. Their showstopper was the iconic "On the Rocks" sofa – a modular, cloud-like piece that invites you to lounge in any direction. Edra is known for its sculptural, tactile approach to upholstery, combining high-end materials with technical precision.

Barcelona Design (BD)
A pioneer in Spanish design, BD Barcelona blends artistic sensibility with functional elegance. Their collaborations with design legends like Salvador Dalí and Jaime Hayon have produced some of the most iconic furniture pieces of the last century. At this year’s Salone, their "Multileg Cabinet" and whimsical "Explorer" collection captured the spirit of design as playful, unexpected, and beautifully crafted.
Riluc
One of our absolute favourites, Riluc was a stand out designer within the exhibition. Specialising in stainless steel furniture with a sleek, architectural edge, their pieces – like the minimalist "Zero" dining table and polished metal stools – have an almost futuristic clarity, elevating industrial materials into works of art.

Glas Italia
Masters of glass furniture, Glas Italia continues to dazzle with ethereal designs that float in space. Based in Macherio, their work showcases how far glass can be pushed as a material – from shimmering coloured coffee tables to sleek mirror-finish shelving.

iLab Design
Known for their clean lines and refined material combinations, iLab creates understated furniture with a contemporary edge. Their Milan collection featured minimalist wooden consoles, modular shelving systems, and statement dining tables.
Palo Nero
A studio that caught our attention for its elegant use of dark woods and charred finishes. Palo Nero’s pieces – such as smoked oak dining tables and sculptural sideboards – have a quiet power and grounded luxury that bring warmth and character to modern interiors.
Poltronova
With a history rooted in 1960s radical design, Poltronova is anything but conventional. Their pieces at Salone included reissues of iconic works like the "Superonda" sofa and the "Joe" baseball glove chair – playful, bold, and filled with retro charm. Their Florence-based studio continues to celebrate the avant-garde spirit of Italian design.
Jaipur Rugs (India)
A KOZY favourite - bringing texture, tradition, and colour to the floor, Jaipur Rugs showcased stunning hand-knotted pieces made by artisans in rural India. Their rugs tell stories of culture, collaboration, and creativity, combining traditional techniques with contemporary aesthetics. The “Manchaha” collection, made using leftover yarn and designed by weavers themselves, was a particular highlight.
Euroluce 2025: A Light-Filled Experience
Every two years, the Salone hosts Euroluce, the premier international lighting exhibition – and this edition was absolutely spectacular. Euroluce isn’t just about lamps and pendants; it’s a deep dive into how light transforms architecture, emotion, and experience.
This year’s lighting concepts were atmospheric, sculptural, and incredibly innovative. Here are some of the standout brands we’re excited to bring into our upcoming interiors:
A-N-D
A Vancouver-based studio creating geometrically inspired, sculptural lighting. Their fixtures feel architectural – like hovering orbs and glowing arcs that double as art pieces. The Column and Pipeline series stood out for their bold simplicity and refined detailing.

Preciosa Lighting
Steeped in Bohemian glassmaking tradition, Preciosa’s chandeliers are masterpieces of craftsmanship and innovation. The "Crystal Beat" installation blended music and light in a captivating, interactive display. Their large-scale lighting is perfect for making a luxurious statement in high-ceilinged spaces.

Brokis
Combining traditional handblown glass with minimalist design, Brokis lights exude warmth and elegance. Their Muffins and Knot collections were on display, glowing like soft lanterns suspended in time. We love their ability to bring intimacy to large rooms.

Leucos
With roots in Murano glass, Leucos fuses tradition with modern design. Their pendants and floor lamps have a timeless beauty, often using opaline or frosted glass to create a gentle, ambient glow. Ideal for softening contemporary spaces.

Arte Veneziana
A brand for lovers of maximalism and glamour, Arte Veneziana specializes in hand-etched mirrors and ornate lighting pieces that bring Venetian artistry into the modern era. Think baroque chandeliers and mirrored sconces with old-world charm.

Neko Lighting
Efficient, minimal, and precise – Neko is all about architectural lighting solutions. Perfect for clean-lined interiors, their recessed spotlights, track systems, and technical pendants deliver both performance and aesthetic clarity.

CTO Lighting
A new favourite of ours, London-based CTO Lighting showcased elegant fixtures in bronze, alabaster, and mouth-blown glass. Their Luna, Nimbus, and Array collections were highlights – sophisticated and sculptural, perfect for luxurious residential or hospitality interiors.

Across Milan: Pop-Ups & Design Discoveries
Outside the main fair, Milan's vibrant districts – from Brera to Tortona to Isola – were alive with creativity. Here's are a few installations and pop-ups that left a lasting impression on us:
USM x Humanrace: This collaboration between the Swiss modular furniture brand and Pharrell Williams’ skincare label was a standout – bringing colour, structure, and modular flexibility into the lifestyle space.
Boon Editions: Minimalist and ultra-curated, this pop-up highlighted emerging design with a focus on material tactility and subdued, elegant forms.
Budapest Select Store: A showcase of contemporary Hungarian design talent, with beautifully crafted ceramic pieces, wooden furniture, and fashion accessories that emphasized craftsmanship and cultural identity.
Taking Inspiration for our future KOZY projects
From the sculptural seating of Edra to the sparkling chandeliers of Preciosa, Milan Design Week 2025 left us full of inspiration, ideas, and a deeper appreciation for the artistry of furniture and lighting design. It was a powerful reminder of how space can be transformed through form, light, material, and imagination.
We’re excited to incorporate many of these design directions into our upcoming projects – and without a doubt, we're already planning our return for Milan Design Week 2026. Until then, we'll be dreaming in textures, shapes, and light.
