Her mission, "Bringing Colour to Life," has not only introduced African-inspired designs to the global luxury interior market but has also promoted diversity within the field. As the founder of Jungalow, she has collaborated with major brands and authored bestselling books. Her approach to design emphasizes the joy of color, pattern and culture. She has collaborated with iconic brands such as retailer Target and children's toy Barbie, as well as bathroom and kitchen brand Kohler and furniture company CB2. Blakeney employs hand-drawn illustrations, watercolour paints and collages to create her prints. She draws inspiration from her travels, vintage textiles, and the vegetation in her California home.
